chocoloate cake

give him a piece of chocolate cake and what happens? he shoves it in his mouth! he grabbed it with both hands and put as much in his mouth as possible. i think dana counted 4 crumbs on the floor. haha! neatest thing i ever saw him eat. 

feetie jammies

be jealous, be very jealous. i have feetie pajamas! of course they make me look like a moose but they are comfy and warm. and they also have a drop seat in the back. told ya you'd be jealous. hehe! 

little drummer boy

my son, the drummer. think he will make it big? i don't know how happy the rest of the band would be if he kept falling asleep on the job...notice how he never let go of the drum or the sticks? maybe that kind of dedication will count for something. he just tuckered out mid-session. one minute, the steady beating pulse of the drums, the next...silence. man, he's cute! 

my 4 boys...

my friend, dana, has been moving this past week and i took her boys friday night overnight so she could get some work done. we watched 'over the hedge.' it was so funny! i would recommend it to anyone with or without kids. on the way back to my house is lonely, in-the-sticks copenhagen, the 3 youngest kids fell asleep in the backseat. i had to take a pic b/c it was so darn cute! trevor is on the left, my little brat in the middle, and tucker is on the right. later on that night we got a surprise visit from 'the headless horseman.' but it think it was him as a kid. he was wearing a t-shirt that says 'i recycled my homework to save the environment.' haha! nice shirt, dana. that was her oldest, trent. lucky for us he was friendly as a child. very helpful too. trent washed their plates after dinner (good thing my water is free). trevor opened the door for me so i could take out the trash (took too long geting his shoes on to help carry it). tucker was just tucker. cute, willful and thinks he makes his own rules. that's the baby for you. although he is very proud of the fact that he is big brother to little kenny. he loves being a big brother. it's pretty cute. all in all it was a fun night. dana has done a great job raising these boys almost completely by herself. they are so good and beautiful and loving. and they adore baby kenny. i couldnt ask for more... 

halloween

for halloween this year i went as a dead punk rocker...or i could have been a female member of KISS. this first pic is of my friend, michelle, and some guy named jeffery that i had never met before.
as you can see by my costume i was trying to "camouflage" my fat...haha! no i was wearing camo to keep my husband close to me. i'm also wearing our dogtags. i have them on the same chain. our son will get them one day.
the party was at my friends, stacey and bobby's, house. a bunch of people showed up that i havent seen in YEARS! it was nice to see them and to be seen. its unfortunate that it has to be a party for me to spend time with these people, but i'm a happy and fulfilled mommy and wife. i dont have the time or the desire to be partying all the time like they do. i see this group maybe twice a year. thats enough for me!
take these pics of me with a grain of salt. they arent meant to be offensive, but to show a fun, childish adult side of me. dressing up is fun. i had a good time. and my friends still love me even thought we never see each other any more...lol.

feeding himself

for all of you who say i dont let my kid feed himself b/c i dont want the mess...you're right! i hate the mess, but i found out today that if i let him feed himself and just clean afterwards i can actually sit down and relax for like an entire hour!! the first pics are of him in his spiderman jammies eating lunch. yes, he was in jammies all day, so was i. but he had a whole banana, some cottage cheese and crackers with his juice/water. i must say he did such a fabulous job feeding himself that i let him feed himself dinner too. boy did he make a mess! he was so dirty i had to throw him in the tub and change his clothes again. and clean the chair, the booster seat and everything else he touched or spilled on. but he was happy! and i got to watch an entire movie with very few interruptions from the little guy. i was so happy. he did so good. i'm so proud of him!

second first birthday

we had a second first birthday party for the lil guy. my friend, dana, brought her boys and my friend, michelle, came with her mom. baby got a garbage truck from miss dana. how funny is that? is says things like 'woah. that stinks!' and '*burp* yummy.' it says some other things too. it's fabulous! the boys got him a firetruck. it's so cute. miss shelly and carol got him a toy organizer. its fabulous! it has 2 shelves of bins and a storage chest. and it matches his bedroom colors! i love it! we had a little cake, too. AND I MADE THE BEST DINNER EVER!!! ok i had a little help, thanks dana and carol. but it rocked totally. it was so great to have my favorite boys and my favorite friends all together with me. i'm not as lonely as i think. we love you, daddy! ps. a little sidenote on the hat. it says 'dont feed the monkeys' on it! thanks shelly.

baby's first b-day

for the baby's first birthday we shared it with his cousing, olivia, who also turned one and with his papa who turned 55 on 23sept. if you can tell at all from the pics my son would NOT jump in the cake! he would just touch it with his index finger on his right hand to get a feel. olivia dove in and had it everywhere. but for some reason my son was very neat and wouldnt make a mess. i wonder where he gets that from? definitely NOT his father. haha! he got a pull-along caterpillar and a v-teck book and backyardigins 'dinnerware' from his gramma and papa. he got clothes from his aunt sarah and a cute squishy monkey and a puppy book, too. i think you can see it in one of the pics. i got him a train and a really cool musical stacking tower with rings that light up. we had so much fun that day. my two sisters made the cake for the babies. and we had lotsa good food. oh i forgot to mention grammy also bought lil kenny a drum, which he loves, and a walmart shopping cart. it spends most of its playtime tipped over. the little man got phone calls from his aunt alisha, aunt dani, aunt tj (few days late but she sang happy birthday!! nobody else did...totally makes up for it! haha!), some of mommy's friends called too. it was a good day. i can't believe he is a whole year old! he is so big now. and he has such a personality. he gets frustrated easily by his toys when they dont do what he wants (he gets that from me, poor kid). the first night we were home he didnt wanna sleep in his crib so he screamed for a half hour. the next day he was hoarse! i couldnt believe it. but he is ok now and goes to bed just as well as before we left. he is my sunshine and i love him.

been way too long...

ok i apologize to all the parties who are terribly upset at me for taking way too long to post on here, but i have some great new pics! as you all know i'm in arizona with my family. it has been wonderful seeing my nieces and nephew and my sister and my parents. i must admit it is a little strange seeing her in a home without john. we miss him terribly. she is doing well. her huge house is starting to look european-like and beautiful (she brought some italy home with her). my younger sister was also able to come out for a week so that was a fabulous touch to my visit. we all do miss our husbands though; sarah's husband, john, was KIA last december in afghanistan, where my husband, kenny, is currently and will be for another few months, and eliza's husband, kevin, is in north dakota on a contract job for a few months also.
